DA.TE Danza Company focuses its main activity as a business model in the production and exhibition of dance shows for early childhood, infancy and youth. In the year 2023, the exhibition of its active repertoire and the production of its new show "Tú y yo" have been the main milestones.

"You and me."
En el Centro de Producción de la Compañía DA.TE Danza nace «Tú y yo«, una nueva obra destinada a ocupar nuestros escenarios en el próximo año 2024. Este espectáculo va más allá de ser una producción escénica, es un viaje emocional donde los límites impulsan y la diversidad entrelaza los destinos de «yo» y «tú».
Desde sus primeros destellos de inspiración, su proceso de ensayos iniciado en septiembre de 2023 hasta con la ejecución de la residencia en el Teatro Municipal de Armilla, «Tú y yo» ha sido una apasionada odisea para crear un espacio donde la diversidad no solo se celebra, sino que también se incorpora a cada fibra de la experiencia artística.
El lema principal, «El motor del límite y la diversidad», refleja la esencia de la producción, buscando conexiones distintas y diferentes en un mundo que a menudo resalta las diferencias. Desde los más pequeños hasta los mayores, «Tú y yo» busca tejer un espacio creativo donde cada individuo sienta respaldo, comprensión y completa integración.
In a bold commitment to inclusion, the work incorporates sign language in choreographic sections, making dance an accessible expression. Musically, instrumentation designed for a more sensory experience for the hearing impaired is explored.
As for the lighting, every detail has been meticulously considered to reduce visual stimuli, respecting the photosensitivity of those with visual or neurological diversity.
«Tú y yo» es más que un espectáculo; es un compromiso tangible con la inclusión. A través de pasos audaces y detalles meticulosos, aspiramos a que cada asistente no solo experimente la diversidad, sino que la haga suya. En «Tú y yo», la inclusión no es solo un concepto; es una realidad palpable y enriquecedora para todos. Exploramos fronteras para crear conexiones, construyendo un puente luminoso entre «tú» y «yo», y en ese encuentro, descubrimos la magia de la diversidad que nos une a todos.

DA.TE Danza Company maintains an unwavering commitment to social transformation, using the performing arts and dance as powerful catalytic tools in a variety of social and artistic intervention projects. We focus especially on initiatives that positively impact children and youth.
PROJECT
Dancing Emotions
An initiative of the DA.TE Danza Company whose epicenter is to address the empowerment and community development of schoolchildren through dance, body expression and the arts in the educational field. All this under the theme of mental health.
Developed during the year 2023, multiple sessions of awareness and self-knowledge, movement, dance and art-therapy workshops have been carried out, which have concluded with the creation of two dance video pieces, a performative action starring the participating students entitled "The Silence of the Butterflies" and two public days of presentation of results, social awareness and artistic activities that have been held at the Teatro Caja Granada and the I.E.S Alhambra on June 3 and 22, respectively.

Dance what you want
The project "Danza lo que quieras" developed during the academic year 2023 (January-June) at CEIP La Vereda de Güejar-Sierra (Granada) within the Artistic Plan of the Center in collaboration with PLANEA, Red de Arte y Escuela.
Guided by Omar Meza, the educational community of CEIP La Vereda, wonders what actions and reflections we can generate at school to improve our relationship with nature but also to improve the climate of coexistence of the environment of which we are part.

El proyecto «Despertar a una nueva realidad creativa» marcó un capítulo innovador y esencial en la historia de la Compañía DA.TE Danza, ejecutado con éxito entre los años 2021, 2022 y 2023. Desde sus inicios, el proyecto se alineó con los objetivos de la convocatoria, enfocándose en la modernización, transformación y sostenibilidad ecológica de la estructura de la compañía.
Modernization became the constant heartbeat of the project, introducing substantial improvements in work processes.
The project immersed itself in the creation and expansion of content, especially in the audiovisual and interactive areas. The audience became the epicenter of this transformation, with the delivery of richer and more accessible experiences.
The renovation and replacement of technical and digital materials sought not only artistic excellence, but also ecological footprint reduction, energy efficiency and waste minimization. The vision embraced the circular economy, weaving an intrinsic link to environmental sustainability.
No solo alcanzó, sino que superó los objetivos establecidos inicialmente, dejando una huella duradera en la Compañía DA.TE Danza. «Despertar a una nueva realidad creativa» se convirtió en más que un proyecto; fue la esencia que guió a la compañía hacia un futuro más moderno, digital y sostenible.

The DA.TE Danza Company is distinguished by the realization of workshops led by Omar Meza, specialized in artistic mediation. Designed to connect with audiences and dance professionals, these events reinforce the company's position as a reference in artistic training and connection.
Workshops at the "Enre9" Festival in Lleida.
Enmarcado en la programación del Festival Enre9 celebrado en Lleida (Cataluña), Omar Meza realizó 2 talleres formativos titulados «Un Cuerpo en el Aula» dirigido a maestros y maestras, además de «Danzar Emociones», una propuesta intergeneracional dirigidos a personas adultas y jóvenes entre 12 y 18 años.
Workshop "A look at creation for early childhood, infancy and youth".
Guided by Omar Meza, the proposal aims to address the creative processes necessary for the creation of a choreographic piece aimed at different ages of children. Activity developed on September 22, 2023 at the Cultural Center of Spain in Mexico City .

Production Center
In 2023 the DA.TE Danza Production Center, in stable collaboration with the International Circus School CAU, is a dynamic space that goes beyond being a rehearsal space. From the maintenance and repair of its facilities to the cession of space to active dancers, our center stands as a multifunctional epicenter. In this nurturing environment, not only is creativity generated through rehearsals, but it also houses offices and becomes a vital meeting point for the vibrant artistic community that inhabits it.
