Vision and mission

Committed messages

Since its beginnings DA.TE Danza has been committed to a work where the message takes precedence over aesthetics. By this we mean that we create and produce shows committed to today's society, showing children and young people a story to reflect on.

In this way, it accompanies the spectator under a dramaturgy and conveys committed stories, which until now had not been told to children.

Style and technique

Our shows

From the aesthetic point of view, the company shows the influences of Omar Meza's trajectory, where one can discover an eclectic style with marked traces of Graham, Limón, Pina Bausch as well as improvisation and contact techniques.

The fundamental feature of Omar Meza's creative style is to rely on and enhance the performer's personal movement, since this is the fundamental vehicle of the message and, as mentioned above, it takes precedence over the merely aesthetic character.

Dramaturgy

A key figure

We orient the shows under a dramaturgy, concentrating our efforts in bringing to the spectator each story, sensation, emotion... We always incorporate the figure of the playwright in the creative process.

All of the company's artistic proposals include original musical composition, theatrical direction and dramaturgy, due to the importance that these scenic signs have in the transmission of the show's narrative.
